Ed Brown (16-0, 14 KOs) faced his 13th foe since May, keeping the very active prospect status with high aspirations for the near future. Brown sat poised opposed Rynell Griffin at the start, allowing the Griffin to push forward and be the aggressor. Keeping a tight guard and a backing off jab, Brown put his defense on display against his southpaw counterpart. As the opening round wore on, Brown delivered the quick and sharp left crack to the body that dropped Griffin. Off the 8-count, Griffin came right back at Brown before a body shot and a left to the head put him right back to the canvas. The body shot must have wore out Griffin as he could not continue at the opening of the second round. Official result: TKO. Time of the Stoppage: :01 of the second round.
