On Thursday, the media was able to sit down with UFC Featherweight Champion Cris Cyborg (UFC Record – 17-1-0 1NC, 16 KOs) and WBC and WBO Middleweight Champion Christina Hammer (21-0, 9 KOs), along with Claressa Shield’s Co-Manager Mark Taffet, on their thoughts on #AdlerShields and the State of their sports and career desires.

The Toundtable was set to coincide with Shield’s challenge Nikki Adler’s WBC Crown and the vacant IBF Super Middleweight Championship on Friday, August 4th at the MGM Grand Detroit on Showtime.

Cyborg has been very vocal on her training and interpretations of the skill level of 2x Olympic Gold Medalist and World Championship challenger Shields since working with her in their respective championship camps.

While seeming to be holding a grudge from the 2008 German Championship final match, where Adler won, Hammer is confident that Shields will come out victorious on Friday night and hopes to face her in the near future. Hammer cited Adler being “slow” and unable to use her reach adequately in her prediction.

While speaking on the State of their respective sports within the combat sports category, the “Best Facing the Best” and positive marketing structure is the key to the continued rise and long term success.
